J'Adore Dance

Meg

Instructor

Meg grew up in a household steeped in dance and music. She started highland dancing at the age of 3 and competed until the age of 24. Bagpiping went hand-in-hand with her dance career, and from the age of 7 she lived, breathed, and worked for dance and music. Meg has taught music, dance, and music leadership training programs for 10 years to students in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario, and created and ran a music training curriculum to assist young instructors to acheive their goals of teaching by running a school of music under qualified music teachers.

More recently, she has run Marguerite Daun Dance in Winnipeg from 2014 to September of 2016 offering Intellidance® classes and adapting Intellidance® curriculum for inclusive dance education, specifically for children with Autism. With Deaf Culture and Language and Special Needs Education Assistant Certificates, Meg has worked with a variety of pre-school and school-aged children in preschool daycare, out of school care and school settings and has experience working with students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Autistic, and supporting students with Learning Disabilities, Behavioural Disabilities, Autism, Down Syndrome and a variety of special needs including medical needs. She has also worked as a Home Facilitator (PUF) with the Disability Services team for the Sturgeon Public School Division and is enjoying being back in the classroom as a PUF EA.  She is excited to be a part of the J'Adore team!
