Shara has been dancing since the age of 6 and has been tapping her feet ever since! She grew up dancing at Sandra Gray School of Dance here in Edmonton. She trained in tap, jazz, ballet and musical theatre for 14 years and is where she met Ms Jenna. In the midst of these tappin' years, she dabbled in a little Irish dancing. Due to lack of time, she put that on hold for a number of years and picked it back up at the age of 18. Shara is still Irish dancing now, 18 years later and still loves every second of it. She trained primarily with the Toal School of Irish dance and is a founding member of the Edmonton Ceili Dancers Association. She has travelled around the world competing in Canada, the United States and Ireland at national and international levels. Here is where she met Ms Chantel, where they realized their common loves of travel, education and dance. If she's not dancing, she's teaching! As she was completing her education degree at the U of A, Shara ran the King Edward Park Community League dance program for 4 years. Shara is currently teaching grade 5 with Elk Island Catholic School. Over the last few years, she has shared her passion of the arts with her students and has worked hard to have dance and drama worked into her schedule. She has ran an after school musical theatre program and taught various dance, drama and musical theatre options at both the elementary and junior high level. "I am so very excited to get back into the studio teaching tap this year at J'adore Dance. I absolutely LOVE tap and am so excited to go buy a new pair of tap shoes!"
