Oakley

Instructor

Oakley has been dancing since age 8. Initially starting her training at L.A Dance Academy in Ballet, Oakley transferred to Sandra Gray School of Dance for an opportunity to dive deeper into the competitive world of dance. Oakley danced at a competitive level in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, and hip hop. Throughout her childhood dance experiences Oakley was able to share her love of dance with younger children through teacher assistant mentorship programs.

After graduating high school in 2012, Oakley attended the University of Alberta in hopes of obtaining her Elementary Education Degree. Oakley graduated with her teaching degree in 2016 and has been teaching Kindergarten and Special Needs for the past three years. Currently, Oakley is managing and teaching children ages 3-5 years old in an inclusive education program focusing on the areas of speech language and behavioural supports.

Oakley is very excited to re-join the J’Adore Dance family after taking a couple years off from teaching dance to start her career and get married. “Sharing my love for dance with children, and seeing the joy and passion that overcomes them is one of the greatest gifts in the world”.
