Are you seeking a non-competitive studio where fun, fitness, and a love of dance are the top priority?

Youth Hip Hop is designed for youth age 13-17 who are seeking a dance program that balances a solid foundation in dance technique with the opportunity to express themselves creatively through movement and collaborative processes in a safe, welcoming environment. Our Youth Hip Hop program works on building both breakdancing skills (popping, locking, stalls and more) as well as both students and instructor choreography with additional focus on improvisation in the form of Cyphers.

All of our classes are taught by highly trained instructors who have certified in JDance® (The foundational program for the JHop Curriculum) and have a solid foundation in both dance technique and best teaching practices. In Hip Hop, you will explore dance concepts, gain coordination, and increase strength and flexibility. This class is part of the Performance Program and will perform in Recital.

Each class includes: Warm up, strength and conditioning, and Hip Hop skill development and choreography.

New families joining our program will need to complete the Full-Year Placement Recommendation Form to receive a class placement prior to being able to register. You will be notified via email once your class placement has been added to your account.

Full-year Commitment

At J’Adore Dance we view our Youth dancers as part of our community. As a community, we expect families who enter our youth program to be ready to commit to a full year program and a special theatre recital (dates listed in Policy Handbook). Our theatre recital allows special friends and family members to view our dancers’ hard work and give your dancer the opportunity to perform on stage! If you are unsure if your family can make a full year commitment we highly recommend registering in one of our sessional preschool or kids programs.
