Bring your Sass and Jazz Hands!

Jazz dance evolved on Broadway in the 1950s into the new, smooth style that is taught today and known as Broadway Jazz or Theatre Jazz. This performance style of Jazz was popularized to a large extent by Bob Fosse’s work, which is exemplified by Broadway shows such as Chicago and Cabaret and Sweet Charity. Broadway Jazz is also used in stage shows today such as Fame and Wicked.

No previous dance experience necessary. Similar to a Jazz class, Broadway Jazz has a rigorous warm up and progression sequences to improve or maintain technique, and then a routine will be taught which can vary between modern style musical theatre, iconic choreographers such as Bob Fosse and everything in between.
