Hip Hop Int/Adv Performance
Take Your Skills to the Next Level
This high-energy and dynamic course is designed for dancers who have a solid foundation in hip hop and are ready to take their skills to the next level. In this class, we delve deeper into various hip hop styles, techniques, and choreography, challenging you to push your limits and refine your artistry.
Throughout the class, you'll explore advanced concepts such as intricate footwork, complex isolations, musicality, and storytelling through movement. We'll focus on developing your creativity, stage presence, and individual style while honing your ability to pick up choreography quickly and execute it with precision.
Our experienced instructors will lead you through a series of challenging routines and exercises designed to enhance your agility, strength, and flexibility, helping you to become a more versatile and expressive dancer. You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with fellow dancers, share ideas, and gain valuable performance experience.
Attire:
- Athletic Pants, leggings, or dance pants, t-shirt or tank top (no crop tops please)
- non-marking WHITE indoor athletics shoes.
- Hair tied back out of face
- Water bottle
This class will perform in this year's Senior Recital "Best of Broadway"
Location: Myer Horowitz Theatre
Tech Rehearsal: Friday, May 23rd Time TBD (usually around 7pm)
Show Day (Dress Rehearsal, Show 1 and Show 2): Saturday, May 24th (usually a 9am-5pm day)

34 weeks of instruction + Recital Fee:
Recital fee ($250) includes: Costume, tech/stage rehearsal time, instructor's time at recital, group photo, individual photo, Recital Performance Video
34 weeks of instruction: September 12, 2024 - June 12, 2025
Registrations can be completed online or in person at the studio or over the phone (provided you already have an account with J'Adore Dance). Payment must be received at the time of registration.
Prorating: Prorating class registration fees will not begin until week 5 of the session. Registering for a class before week 5, you are eligible for 3 make-ups to be used in any of our sessional programming within the current session. Please note that prorated classes and make-up classes are subject to availability.
Registrations cancelled before the first class are subject to a $25+GST administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after the start date of the class, however, we will issue credit (minus the $25+GST administrative fee) valid for 12 months from the start date of the canceled program if the registration is canceled before the third class of the session. No refunds or credit will be granted after the start of the third class other than for serious illness or injury with medical documentation provided. Cancellation requests must be received in writing (info@jadoredance.com) and can only be processed by management. Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Mikayla
Instructor
Mikayla Pucci has been dancing for 17 years. She stylizes in Jazz, Contemporay, Lyrical, Freestyling and styles within Hip Hop including, commercial choreography, R&B, and party dance. She has trained under many choreographers across Canada but has been privately mentored by Thomas Boivin and Alyssa Bokenfohr. She has competed in many competitions, some including, Artist Emerge Edmonton and Vancouver, Fever, Represent, Terpsichore, Dance power, and many others.

Instructor
Chris Hammer has been teaching for 4 years now. He has been trained and stylizes in Popping, Locking, Animation, Party dance, Commercial choreo, R&B, and Freestyling. He has competed and performed and a numerous of different events including being a finalist on season 2 of Canada’s got Talent with the Cool Giraffes, We day, Edmonton Hair massacre, 4 time finalist in the Kdays talent search, City TV, CTV, and more! He has trained under many of different choreographers across the world some including Lukas Geldert, Scott Forsyth, Thomas Boivin, Harman Baweja, Jerome Esplana, Carmen Forsyth, and more!
