Hip Hop Mania (3-5 yrs)
Get down and funky!
Hip Hop Mania teaches active dance moves in a fun, creative based, preschooler friendly environment! Games, music activities and crafts round out this active camp, sure to inspire the youngest dancers to bust a move.
Daily Themes Include: Robots, Dragons, Jungle, Spidey & Friends, Star Wars
Daily activities include hip hop dance, stories, crafts, and games!
Participants will be required to bring clean indoor shoes, a peanut free snack, art shirt/smock, water bottle, hat and sunscreen for outdoor time.
BAND invite and Camp intake form will be e-mailed prior to the start of camp. Please accept BAND invite and complete intake form prior to first day of camp.
- Campers must be in good health and must not attend if they are sick or have any signs or symptoms of a cold or are feeling unwell.
- Campers will be taken to an outdoor green space for daily snack time and outdoor activities (weather permitting).
- Parents will Drop off/Pick up at the studio door.
- Videos and photos will be shared with families via BAND app. Parent Share will occur the last 20 minutes on the last day of camp.
Siblings Camp Discount: If you register for 2 or more camps in the same session (siblings in 2 or more camps), we will discount the combined price of the classes by 20%.
Multiple Half-Day Camp Discount: If you register for 2 or more camps in the same session (same child in 2 or more camps), we will discount the combined price of the classes by 20%.
Camp discount cannot be combined with sessional class registration.
Cancellations received more than 21 days prior to the camp start date will receive a full refund minus the $25+ GST cancellation fee. Cancellations received between 7 to 21 days prior to the camp start date will receive studio credit for the cost of the camp minus the $25+ GST cancellation fee. Credits are valid for 12 months from the original issue date and will be deducted from your family's next registration. Cancellations received within 7 days of the camp start date will be ineligible for either class credit or refund.
Maria
Instructor
Maria is a student at the University of Alberta working towards a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Sociology. Maria loved to perform from a very young age and never missed an opportunity to take the stage, whether it was to sing at family events or dance in school productions in her home country India. She started formal training at the age of seven in various forms of Indian dance, including Bharatanatyam, semi-classical, and cinematic dance. This gave her many opportunities to perform for various events throughout Edmonton. In Junior High, Maria became involved in various fine arts programs within her school including musical theatre, choir, and school band, and she joined the ECSD Junior All-City band. At this time, Maria began dancing hip-hop at Edmonton Dance Factory with Richard Andries. In High School, Maria continued her involvement in the fine arts as she joined her school's honour band, improv team, and drama productions. Maria is now part of the Bollywood Dance Club at the University of Alberta. Maria is so excited to continue meeting friends at the front desk, interning with Miss Jenna, and teaching her own classes! Maria is so grateful to have the opportunity to share her love of dance with the J'adore Dance family!
