Musical Theatre (6-12 yrs) - ALADDIN
Is your child passionate about dancing and acting?
Well look no further! With a focus on movement, and drama, participants with enjoy learning age-appropriate material in a positive and supportive environment. Participants will learn a piece of group choreography to perform in front of a small audience. Self-expression, self-confidence, communication skills, and social interaction are just a few of the benefits participants will experience in Musical Theatre Camp!
When Aladdin rubs the lamp, the genie grants him three wishes, and he uses them to win the heart of Princess Jasmine. However, the sorcerer Jafar wants the lamp for himself, and Aladdin must use his courage and cleverness to stop him and save the kingdom. Along the way, Aladdin learns that being true to himself is the most important thing, and that love and friendship are the greatest treasures.
Participants will be required to bring clean indoor shoes, a peanut free snack, art shirt/smock, water bottle, hat and sunscreen for outdoor time.
BAND invite and Camp intake form will be e-mailed prior to the start of camp. Please accept BAND invite and complete intake form prior to first day of camp.
- Campers must be in good health and must not attend if they are sick or have any signs or symptoms of a cold or are feeling unwell.
- Campers will be taken to an outdoor green space for daily snack time and outdoor activities (weather permitting).
- Parents will Drop off/Pick up at the studio door.
- Videos and photos will be shared with families via BAND app. Parent Share will occur the last 20 minutes on the last day of camp.
Siblings Camp Discount: If you register for 2 or more camps in the same session (siblings in 2 or more camps), we will discount the combined price of the classes by 20%.
Multiple Half-Day Camp Discount: If you register for 2 or more camps in the same session (same child in 2 or more camps), we will discount the combined price of the classes by 20%.
Camp discount cannot be combined with sessional class registration.
Cancellations received more than 21 days prior to the camp start date will receive a full refund minus the $25+ GST cancellation fee. Cancellations received between 7 to 21 days prior to the camp start date will receive studio credit for the cost of the camp minus the $25+ GST cancellation fee. Credits are valid for 12 months from the original issue date and will be deducted from your family's next registration. Cancellations received within 7 days of the camp start date will be ineligible for either class credit or refund.

Mana
Instructor
Mana is in her first year of the musical theatre performance program at MacEwan University where she explores tap, ballet, and broadway jazz. She has 14 years of previous dance experience at Shumka, Edmonton School of Ukrainian Dance, Victoria School of the Arts, and with the Citadel Theatre’s Musical Theatre Young Company. Outside of dance, Mana loves to sing and act. Mana recently graduated from Victoria School of the Arts and has performed in numerous mainstage musicals as well as smaller showcases during her time there. She has also directed a one-act show for Victoria School's PlayWorks festival. She has taught the performing arts project for the Edmonton 4-H club for the previous three years and is so excited to have the opportunity to continue learning to teach and join the J'Adore team!
