Ballet provides dancers with the technical foundation and grace to master any form of dance. Focusing on basic technique, strength, flexibility, and coordination, our beginner ballet program is designed for dancers with limited or no ballet experience.
This class will have the option of performing in recital. Recital performance by each participant is optional. Dancers choosing to participate in the recital piece will be responsible for paying for their own costume.
Registrations can be completed online or in person at the studio or over the phone (provided you already have an account with J’Adore Dance). Payment must be received at the time of registration.
Registrations canceled before the day of the first class are subject to a $25 + GST administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after the start date of the class, however, we will issue credit valid for 12 months from the start date of the canceled program if the registration is canceled before the third class of the session. No refunds or credit will be granted after the start of the third class other than for serious illness or injury with medical documentation provided. Cancellation requests must be received in writing (firstname.lastname@example.org) and can only be processed by management.
Jodie Vandekerkhove is a professional artist with extensive training and education in the field of dance, holding a BFA, and a MA all with focuses on dance. She has danced professionally for various choreographers and has performed for the Jen Mesch Dance Conspiracy, KO Dance project, and Mile Zero Dance. Jodie has most recently been a presenter for the TEDx Garneau Women event. Jodie has a passion for teaching dance and presently is a dance instructor at Concordia University College and University of Alberta and is the Outreach Coordinator for Mile Zero Dance.
