Are you seeking a non-competitive studio where fun, fitness, and a love of dance are the top priority?

Tweens & Teens Dance Intensive is designed for ages 11-17 who are seeking a dance program that balances a solid foundation in dance technique with the opportunity to express themselves creatively through movement and collaborative processes in a safe, welcoming environment. This camp focuses on how ballet technique informs expression and increases facility in all genres of Dance. Dancers will explore a variety of dance genres such as Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, African, Hip Hop, Tap and Modern.  Facilitated by professional award winning dance educators from the J'Adore Faculty, dancers will explore a different genre each day and learn improvisation tools that lead into composing/choreographing dances.

Dance is more than a series of steps. Our program uses a holistic approach that provides our dancers with a brain compatible learning environment. Our conceptual approach to dance education ensures our students move with purpose on the dance floor and through life. Our goal is to shape each student into a Holistic Dancer who is a:

  • Skilled Technician
  • Critical Thinker
  • Successful Collaborator
  • Inventive Creator

Instructor Information

Annie has danced since she could walk and it has always been her true passion. Having had the privilege of training in many dance styles including finishing her Grade 6 RAD and Checchetti ballet, ISTD Jazz and Tap, she furthered her education, studied contemporary and obtained a Bachelor (HONS) Degree in Dance and Choreography at the University of Chichester in England. Finishing university Annie successfully obtained a position to dance in the closing ceremonies of the London Olympics 2012, "It was the biggest performance of my life!" The creative nature that dance can ignite has always interested her and as such choreography has become one of Annie's main focuses. Since joining J'Adore Dance she has had the pleasure of watching children delve into the creative processes of dance and explore choreography in a whole different light. She completed her Certification in Integrative Dance from Rhythm Works, Intellidance and maintains her First Aid and CPR. "The imagination and innate creativity of children never ceases to amaze me; I look forward to furthering my career and sharing my passion for dance with as many people as possible".
