At J'Adore Dance our sessional Kreative KidzTM programs for ages 3-13 have been expertly programmed by artistic directors Chantel Sampson (BEd, PAHC, AFLCA, PPNF) and Jenna Brenan (BEd, AFLCA, PPNF) in collaboration with Creative Jazz Ballet founder Jessica Baudin-Griffin, Anne Green Gilbert and Terry Goetz of the Creative Dance Center, dance educators with many years of experience teaching dance programming to children of all ages and abilities. All our classes are taught by highly trained instructors who have certified in JDanceTM (The foundational program for the Kreative KidzTM) and have a solid foundation in both dance technique and best teaching practices.
A concept-based approach, in which the students learn the elements and principles of dance through a variety of learning processes (perceiving, understanding, doing, creating, and valuing) is the foundation for all the programs at J’Adore dance. Our program focuses on conceptual dance education and Anne Green Gilbert’s BrainDance research providing a foundation for a strong where new dance concepts will be explored monthly. Creative dance, imagination, and expression are combined with developmentally appropriate movement, music, and ballet and jazz technique to create a class that is fun for all!
Dance is more than a series of steps. Our programs use a holistic approach that provides our young dancers with a brain compatible learning environment. Our conceptual approach to dance education ensures our students move with purpose on the dance floor and through life. Our goal is to shape each student into a Holistic Dancer who is a:
* Skilled Technician
* Critical Thinker
* Creative Problem Solver
* Successful Collaborator

Robyn has been dancing from an early age, training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, as well as musical theatre, through which she quickly discovered her passion for dance. Wishing to pursue this, she attended Victoria School of the Arts where she trained in dance technique and theory, as well as other art forms. Here she gained experience in performance as well as choreographing, completing the Dance International Baccalaureate program, and had the opportunity to work with notable artists such as Cornelius Carter and Peggy Baker. Robyn is an emerging choreographer, and has presented two works at NextFest. She is very excited to be a part of J’adore’s intern program, where she can combine her passions for dance and working with children, while completing her undergraduate degree in physics at the University of Alberta.
