Annie has danced since she could walk and it has always been her true passion. Having had the privilege of training in many dance styles including finishing her Grade 6 RAD and Checchetti ballet, ISTD Jazz and Tap, she furthered her education, studied contemporary and obtained a Bachelor (HONS) Degree in Dance and Choreography at the University of Chichester in England. Finishing university Annie successfully obtained a position to dance in the closing ceremonies of the London Olympics 2012, "It was the biggest performance of my life!" The creative nature that dance can ignite has always interested her and as such choreography has become one of Annie's main focuses. Since joining J'Adore Dance she has had the pleasure of watching children delve into the creative processes of dance and explore choreography in a whole different light. She completed her Certification in Integrative Dance from Rhythm Works, Intellidance and maintains her First Aid and CPR. "The imagination and innate creativity of children never ceases to amaze me; I look forward to furthering my career and sharing my passion for dance with as many people as possible".
Lisa Malo-Smith discovered dance at the age of 3 when she began her first ballet class and has carried a love for performing ever since. She spent much of her childhood and teenage years experimenting with many instruments such as piano, guitar, drums and singing. She studied music with Le Centre de Développement Musicale where she had many opportunities for performing at events across Alberta as a French artist. With a strong sense of musicality and rhythm, she decided to pursue music and is now a professional performer currently studying vocal performance at MacEwan University. Additionally, Lisa has been Poi dancing since 2010 and performing at Festivals across Alberta with her Poi Dance Duo, Alien Freak Show. More recently she has further developed her passion for Hip-Hop through J’Adore Dance and has completed the Full-Year Internship Program in Spring 2019.
